Change to files & document access

ATTENTION: Due to significant increases from the company providing hosting service for the Plaza's files (meeting minutes, documents, etc.), we are in process of moving to an economically reasonable and fairly priced hosting service.

There may be a period of time where you will not be able to access certain documents through the website during the transition. If you want a copy, please contact the management office and they can mail a copy of the interested document to you.

Additionally, upon completion of the move to a new hosting service, the access process will change where you will need to register with Google for an account and request access to the Plaza's files.

Thank you for your understanding during this process.  It is being done with the interests of the Plaza HOA's finances in mind.

2018 Town Hall Meeting

Hope this email finds everyone doing well. The Plaza will hold it's Town Hall Meeting on May 26th at 10am at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 103rd Street (Bayside). 

This is just an informational Meeting only. Under Maryland Law we can not vote on any business at this meeting. We will be updating everyone on the State of the Plaza. Which I must say, everything is going well. 

If you have any questions, please let us know. Also, please RSVP if you plan on attending the Meeting. We are trying to ensure we have food for breakfast at the meeting and will have lunch in the lobby. Lunch will be provided by Mary McCracken from Long & Foster.

West windows project update

As of Feb 23, we only have 10 more windows to install on the 1st floor. All the windows from the 2nd thru the 17th floor have been installed. The windows are sealed but we have a few floors that we still need to caulk.  The reminding 10 windows will be installed on Feb 24.

We will need to finish the interior of the Units next. The interiors of 16 and 17th floor have been completed.

We will start the interior work next week and we are shooting to complete everything over the next 3 weeks. We really have been working to ensure that everything is completed ahead of schedule so it does not interfere with any rentals or Owners coming down when the weather is nice.  

Finally, since we are ahead of schedule, if you feel like sending your last special assessment payment of $625.00 we would be glad to take it early. If not, it is due in April.

Special Meeting: Nov 12, 2016 regarding West Windows

A special meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2016, 10am ET to discuss and take a vote on West Window(s) replacement.  All documents have been sent out via email to owners who have registered email with the HOA and by USPS for those that have not.

Elevator Renovation Project underway

The time has finally arrived for the elevator renovation.

Currently, Delaware Elevators is working on elevator #1. On October 15th, elevators #1 and #2 will be shut down.  Elevators #3 and #4 will continue to work until #1 and #2 are complete. When #1 and #2 are completed and running, we will shut down #3 and #4.

The work will be continue until May 2016. The plan is to finish before Memorial Day weekend of 2016.

We are replacing all the motors, controls, cables and interior of the cabs.

April 15, 2015 - New energy efficiency law affects new hot water heaters

On April 15th of this year, a new law will be going into effect. All new(manufactured after April 15, 2015) hot water heaters will be 1-2" inches wider and 1-2" inches taller. 

This will cause a serious issue for all condo buildings in Ocean City, including the Plaza. Most hot water heaters are not going to fit in the closet and we will need to look at other areas or do major plumbing and alterations to make the new heaters fit & work.

If you have an old water heater, I would strongly recommend that you replace it soon. Just call the Plaza office and we would be happy to replace the hot water heater for you.

New Bylaws enacted Oct 11, 2014

At the annual Owner's Meeting on Saturday, October 11, 2014, the membership voted to accept new Bylaws for the Plaza Condominium, Inc.  You may find a version of the Bylaws on this website in the ByLaws section.
