Smoke Detector Replacement Program

The Plaza's contractor for its fire alarm system, Fire Protective Services, Inc. has recommended replacement of condo unit smoke detectors if they are older than ten (10) years of age. The Consumer Product Safety Council(CPSC) recommends replacement of smoke detectors between seven (7) and ten (10) years.

The Plaza is working to obtain a group volume discount for those interested in replacing their smoke detectors. If interested, please contact the HOA office to have your unit included in the group solicitation.

The smoke detectors installed in the individual condos are electronically connected to the building's master fire alert system and must be replaced in coordination with the building's system.
